All Aboard For Family Fun In the Gold Country! – April 23, 2023 12:00 PM
Railtown 1897 SHP and the California State Railroad Museum Foundation are pleased to welcome guests aboard the historic Sierra Railway. Ride behind a historic steam or diesel locomotive on a train trip through California’s scenic Gold Country. Your 6-mile, 45-minute roundtrip train ride will take you past the water tower from Petticoat Junction and transport you from the backyards of Jamestown to the rugged hillsides of California’s Mother Lode country. After your ride, explore the historic grounds, tour the Roundhouse, have a picnic, and spend the day in the beauty of California’s Gold Country.

Ticket Pricing InformationTickets are sold per person. Please select the appropriate quantity of tickets you need for each age range of passengers.
Coach Class:

- Members: Free
All train tickets include park admission.
Members ride free or at reduced cost based on their membership level. Trains will generally be pulled by the 1265 diesel locomotive. Motive power is subject to change without notice. All sales are final.
Red Hills Ramble – Saturday, April 29 – Sunday, April 30
The Red Hills Ramble is a Running race in Tuolumne, California consisting of a 10K Trail Run and 15K and 30K. This race, only about 35 minutes outside of Oakdale, runs through the scenic foothills. We will have three distances: a 10k, a 15k and a 30k. This race will feature both technical single track and wide fire roads with plenty of elevation change.
A Portion of the Proceeds raised will support our favorite local non profit, the Center for Human Services.

Table Mountain Hike + Yoga + Sound + Healing Meditation – Saturday, April 29, 8:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Get grounded in nature, move with yoga, heal with meditation, become centered with sound bowls. Enjoy a spring afternoon hike to Table Mountain in Jamestown, CA. Hike to the top and enjoy magnificent views while we practice yoga, sound bath, and healing meditation with your hosts, Stephanie, Kim, and Corrina.
What to Bring: Bring a yoga mat, sunscreen/hat and water.
Hike Info: This 3.8 mile out and back hike is moderately difficult with an elevation change of 610′. It gets a little steep towards the top. Wear sturdy shoes.
Trailhead Info: Please drive in past the first gate on Shell Road (Jamestown, CA). Do not park in front of houses, as this is private land. You may park off road along the dirt road between first and second gate. You may also park between the second gate and the restroom. Please follow trail markers as the trail is surrounded by private land.
